About "Threeep" and "Wilkie Reader"

DESCRIPTION

Joey and the Threeep
by
Jim Wilkerson

What is a THREEEP? A THREEEP is a fantastic character with three eyes, three ears, three fingers, three legs, and three toes. The THREEEP in this book––Joey and the THREEEP––can appear to be a bit odd, even scary, when you first encounter him (I think he is a "him") tucked away in his cave beneath the ground. Joey is an ordinary boy who likes to play, as any boy would, riding his wagon in the neighborhood. Little did he know on this fateful day that he would encounter a THREEEP along the way. His wagon sped downhill, plowing a path through Miss Grunadee's garden before plunging into a dark hole and falling into the THREEEP's cavern. Joey and the THREEP eyed up each other and tried to figure out what to do with the awkward and challenging situation.THREEEP is a weird creature because he got zapped by nuclear radiation. He has a nuclear powered lamp in his cave to cast some light on the bumpy relationship between Joey and himself. (You can call him Mr. THREEEP). The book is written by Jim Wilkerson, former CNN news anchor. The book is illustrated by Dan Youra.
